“ I have poured my heart and soul into this Department.”
OceanicWavez
Former Deputy Director of the Mayflower Parks & Wildlife
Yesterday, the Director of the Mayflower Parks and Wildlife Department, rip_dft, announced his decision to step down from his position. Serving as a director not only since November 2023 but also two more times prior, the Mayflower Public Broadcasting Service has heard nothing but positive statements of his performance “both as a leader and as a friend”. OceanicWavez, the Deputy Director at the time of rip_dft’s resignation, released a statement on the situation. “Throughout these past few months, rip_dft has worked with me in keeping this department on its feet, and it has been a pleasure working as his Deputy Director,” OceanicWavez said in a public statement.
Acknowledging the impact of rip_dft’s resignation, Oceanicwavez, a close friend and colleague, expressed shock and sadness at the sudden decision. In a statement regarding rip_dft’s resignation, Oceanicwavez praised him as a great Director, as many others have. While expressing his commitment to ensuring the department’s continued operation, OceanicWavez acknowledged the importance of prioritizing real-life from Roblox.
“I have poured my heart and soul into this department. I feel like I have accomplished a lot, and now, it is my time to go,” OceanicWavez stated in his farewell. He also revealed in his resignation letter that “I don’t enjoy playing Mayflower anymore. In fact, I barely can play the game without fear of being constantly targeted, killed, or reported for something like accidentally going 1 inch past a stop sign without stopping,” He acknowledged that the Mayflower community has changed from its original version, turning what was once a source of fun and stress relief into a stressful experience for him. His decision to resign is not driven by fear but a desire to move on with his life and engage in games that bring joy rather than stress, especially given his current health conditions.
MPBS interviewed multiple rangers employed within MPWD, and they all expressed gratitude and appreciation for rip_dft’s and OceanicWavez’s service to the MPWD. Bellerance, a Supervisor within the Training Instruction Division at MPWD, told MPBS “rip_dft was a great director because he was dedicated to ensuring the functioning of PAW. OceanicWavez, who was also a proficient deputy director, entrusted me significantly by passing on his Wave Enterprise including its three properties before he left. I extend my best wishes and Une Belle Vie !”
Rip_dft’s departure leaves a void in the Mayflower Parks & Wildlife Department, but his contributions and dedication will undoubtedly be remembered. The Mayflower community bids farewell to Director rip_dft and Deputy Director OceanicWavez and express gratitude for their contributions to the Mayflower Parks and Wildlife Department, and to the State of Mayflower.
