On Sunday 02/18/24, witnessed a remarkable turnout as a multitude of individuals eagerly gathered with their “lil-tees” and go-karts for LPD’s and PAW’s time-trialed race.
This event was flawlessly executed by Ahuis4224, LPD Event Coordinator, and alongside GecelerinEfendisiTR1 at PAW. As noted, it was great to see numerous PAW rangers come out and help during the event along with other departments out there securing the location.
At LCP, crowds gathered together to compete for numerous prizes up to 3000-5000 dollars. Each competitor will drive their “lil tee” around the scenic park, completing two laps in pursuit of the fastest time. Originally, the race was set for both “lil-tees” and go-carts, which was altered to restrict only “lil-tees” from being permitted into the race. However, despite this alteration, the participation rates remained at an all-time high throughout the whole event.
The winners of the time trials event:
1st Place: Crazypetemyers
2nd Place: UprisingCanadian
A side of a few hiccups, such as a bandwagon of exploding “lil tees” and isolated attempts to disrupt proceedings, the event was impeccably managed and adhered to its schedule with ease.
“I was expecting a lot less participation.” GecelerinEfendisiTR1 puts into his terms as supervisor of public relations at PAW. However, his expectations were sorely mistaken as the whole server rallied to this event.
GecelerinEfendisiTR1, Parks and Wildlife Public Relation’s Supervisor
“I must say I was surprised by how many people attended. Everyone obeyed instructions and It went amazing. Thanks to all attendees!”
With the collaboration, this event has left LPD public relations on a high note Ahuis4224 claims.
Ahuis4224, Lander Police Department Captain
“We are very excited as our department begins a new chapter. This event was a great success to kick it off”
The public eagerly anticipates further collaboration between the two departments, given the deliberate planning that resulted in this immensely successful occasion. As GecelerinEfendisiTR1 puts it, “this was a well-planned, well-executed event. I want to thank Ahuis4224 for helping me host such an event.” This goes with the same gratitude as Ahuis4224 commented, “we are glad to have worked with PAW for such a great event.”
Following their success, these two have hinted at aspiring events in their own department’s public relations
Ahuis4224, Lander Police Department Captain
“We hope to plan more events like this in the future as our new chief wants a large emphasis on public relations. Expect to see more things like this from us soon.”
GecelerinEfendisiTR1, Parks and Wildlife Public Relation’s Supervisor
“The public can expect more events to come. In fact, PAW PRU is working on another event right now!”
As new horizons begin to open up for the 2024 year, it’s good to keep an eye out for more events coming soon.
