MSP Sergeant’s Successful Ice Race Event: A Fun Twist
on Lawful Racing
“(..) Toxic_xNorax has won almost all the races” MSP Sergeant king_v123
In a bold move to tackle the issue of illegal street racing in New Haven County, the Mayflower State Police (known as MSP) recently organized an exhilarating ice race event that not only provided a legal and thrilling alternative but also showcased the collaborative spirit of law enforcement agencies. We had the privilege of sitting down with MSP Sergeant king_v123, who played a pivotal role in orchestrating this unique event. Sergeant king_v123 began by explaining the motivation behind the ice race event, saying, “The State Police knows that people love to race, and we often encounter street racers on our streets and highways. Thus, the State Police thought of an idea that would make up for a fun experience for all and take the place of the illegal races.” The race, spanning from the Lander Minor bridge to the Plymouth PD bridge, unfolded on the frozen river, adding an extra layer of challenge for the participants. “There were 5 races in total, with 3 practice rounds and the final 2 races serving as the prize rounds,” Trooper king_v123 explained. The standout performer of the event was PAW ranger Toxic_xNorax, who dominated most of the races. Trooper king_v123 revealed,
“Out of 20+ participants, a PAW ranger by the name of Toxic_xNorax has won almost all the races, with leoisok coming in 2nd place for the final race and DamonTShepherd coming in 3rd, both of them being MSP troopers“. Notably, the event attracted a mix of on and off-duty officers, with significant participation from MSP and the Sheriff’s Office (SO). “To ensure the safety of all involved, deputies and troopers were watching over the start and finish lines and guardsmen were present from the BMA side to eliminate any car bombs, 2 of them failed miserably.” Trooper king_v123 shared. Highlighting the meticulous safety measures taken during the race, Trooper king_v123 added, “During the race, a car drove on the side roads checking for any potential dangers on the way. Thankfully no one got injured during the race.” Trooper king_v123 emphasized the message that Mayflower State Police aimed to convey through the event: “When done correctly, racing can be a legal and fun activity, even when it comes to racing cops! Additionally, MSP wanted to help SO’s PR unit and kickstart their events, proving that we are all here to work as a team.” The ice race event not only provided a thrilling experience for participants but also served as a testament to the creativity and collaboration within law enforcement agencies which promotes a positive image of snow race while ensuring public safety. Sergeant king_v123 added, “The Public Relations unit [MSP] will keep hosting events biweekly, stay tuned for more and have a happy festive season!”. More soon
